I went on Saturday with friends to attend the 75th edition of the Régates de Valleyfield, an annual racing event of hydroplanes. Although the Montreal summer has been mostly grey, the weather during the last days or so has been superb. Saturday was no exception as it was warm and sunny, and not too humid. We took in the festive atmosphere and I shot a few pictures of the various categories of hydroplanes competing. I took some wider shots but in the end, I tend to prefer the panned close-ups of the craft, especially when they are just skimming the water surface.
